Cesc pushing for Barcelona transfer

20:00 Posted by Editor
Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Arsenal midfielder and Spain international Cesc Fabregas (22) hasn't yet given up the hope of joining Barcelona this summer.

The Catalan player would still think there's a chance that Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger will accept a transfer and is reportedly sending sms text messages to Barcelona board members asking them not to give up trying to close a deal.

  2. Anonymous Said,

I say fuck ya Fab... Why not put up a transfer request yourself or at least talk to Wenger instead of insisting on paying enormous amounts?!? Or do you pride in your price?

I think Thiago made too many mistakes but Dos Santos was great and should be called up if no one is signed.. Gai was a little disappointing as well compared to Pedro and and Jeffren.

    @alexxx
which match exactly did u watch??? Thiago was the best player on the pitch in the 2nd half, JDS and Gai were also great but thiago even overshadowed messi in this match... his creativity, link up play, technique, skill were outstanding... Gai was also great today... JDS shot which hit the crossbar was a scorcher unlucky it didn't go in...

@Anon.. I guess I didnt watch the same match cause there was creativity and no link plays. Barca had a hard time linking more than 2or3 passes at a time...u could really tell they were missing Xavi/Iniesta. Also Thiago was not the best player Jeffren, Dos Santos, Pedro and even Gai had better games than him. As for him overshadowing Messi i think you just lost track there for a second tryint to hard to make a point. Messi brought new life into Barca in the 2nd half.

Jonathan and Thiago will be better than Cesc in a year anyways. Since they play similar positions the competition between Thiago and JDS wil only make both of them better.

have to say i was glad to see the Barca youngsters get their chances.

was Yaya Toure playing as AM? cuz he was very high up on the pitch...anyone notice tht?

everytime i see Marc Muniesa, i get excited cuz i can see a bright future for him...he's only 17 and Pep trusts him enough to play him on the 1st team preseason matches...i really wanna see how he will turn out in his early 20s...he has been dubbed as "the next Puyol"... i dont know about that....those are really big shoes to fill but anything is possible. i wish him luck..

The Cesc issue..now this is a frustrating one cuz after playing on the Champions League qualifier, he decides to voice out his desire to return to Barca... He knew all summer that Baca were interested but yet he came out with his little speeches on how "committed" he is to Arsenal and how he wants to win trophies with them... Arsenal have no chance of winnng the premier league this season..thts taken by Maybe Liverpool or Chelsea... SO Cesc...wat trophies are u gonna win with Arsenal? u know they dont give away medals for 3rd or 4th place....

so who else is coming to Barca?
    Ribery - - - - thts a NO
    Robben - - - - Maybe (unlikely)
Vidic - - - - - Not sure ( but Man U wont sell after the departure of Ronaldo and Teves)
    Eboue - - - - - Possible ( my opinion is, i dont want him to come Barca )

so who is Coming to Barca?!?!?!? im not sure but im hoping they get someone really gd....i dont want another bench warmer... This transfer Market has been very dull and the Barca funs are expecting more...

Kids, Cesc won't be coming this summer, fact. Next year, most likely. He'll eventually replace Xavi, who is getting older and won't be playing many full seasons (50+ games) anymore.

Thiago was great. He ran the show. I think what happened was that because of the bad quality of the streams people didnt realize it was thiago was was making the plays as several times people said "dos santos" when it was acutally thiago. If you were listening closely to the commentary you would have heard thiago's name being called. He was absolutely brilliant. Ran the show like xavi. Dos Santos didnt do too much other than rock the cross bar.

Gai? Pedro and Jeffren have a few years on Gai, he will be much better as he gets more chances with the first team and after he plays a full year without injuries with the B team
