Catalan television station TV3 claims that Ronaldinho has accepted the offer of English Premier League club Manchester City.Roberto de Assis, the brother and agent of Ronaldinho, would be negotiating the last details of the transfer that could be closed in the next hours. Ronaldinho and his entourage are tired of waiting for AC Milan.
Barcelona will accept the formal offer of 32 million euro° made by Manchester City and would now have given AC Milan between 24 and 48 hours to made an equal or better offer.
Spanish news agency EFE claims that Ronaldinho will arrive tomorrow in Barcelona, something that has been agreed upon after talks between the player and the club.
If the deal with Manchester City (or Milan) wouldn't go through in the end, Ronaldinho, whose contract expires in 2010, would join the pre-season training sessions under new Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola.
British tabloid News of the World claimed earlier today that Manchester City is growing increasingly confident they can sign Ronaldinho, who they would be willing to offer a record salary of 12,5 million euro.
This weekend several papers said that the refusal of Barcelona to let Ronaldinho participate in the Olympic games could lead to a clash between the player and the club. Ronaldinho would not be willing to report back for training on Monday.
Brazilian newspaper O Globo claimed that the entourage of Ronaldinho would be considering to use Article 17 of the Fifa transfer regulations and buy out the remaining two years of his current contract.
