Barcelona president Joan Laporta has announced that the club's General Assembly will be held on Sunday 24 August. This year the assembly will not only vote on the budget of the club but will also decide on Laporta's continuity as chairman, like the president had proposed himself after narrowly escaping an exit when a vote of no confidence was held last month which lead to half of the board resigning.
