Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Manchester United and Juventus are the main candidates to sign Barcelona Juvenil A attacking midfielder and Spanish youth international Iago Falqué (18).

Iago's agent is currently negotiating a transfer with several European clubs after the player had been told that he won't be promoted to Barcelona Atlètic this summer (read more here). Since Iago would prefer to join Manchester United, the English champions are his most probable destination.

With Barcelona Atlètic coach Luis Enrique not counting on Iago this season, Barcelona would be considering to let Iago leave for free if his new club agrees to include some clauses in the deal, namely: an option to buy the player back at a reduced price next summer, the payment of 1 million euro° if he plays 30 matches for his new club and a part of the transfer fee if Iago is sold later on.

Asked about the situation, Luis Enrique said to journalists this weekend that he doesn't plan to promote Iago this summer: "It's a very interesting player but for the Juvenil A. He has a bright future ahead and the club counts on him but I already told the player that my team already has six forwards which would leave him very few chances to play. We're looking how to solve the situation and we're talking with other clubs."

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Iago could in the end stay with Barcelona if Barcelona Atlètic wing attacker Pedro (21) would be permanently promoted to the first team.
