Barcelona defender Rafael Márquez (29) suffers from pharyngitis, a painful inflammation of the pharynx that causes a sore throat. Like Hleb, Milito and Valdés, the Mexican could therefore not be present at the racing circuit yesterday (read more here).
It is unclear if Márquez will be available for the Sunday game against Sporting.
