Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona and Chelsea could play a friendly game in the United States next summer.Both teams would go and play exhibition games in the US during the pre-season and could face each other for a friendly match in Seattle. The game would be played at the stadium of American football team Seattle Seahawks.
Asked about the rumour that Barcelona could also play a game against new MLS team Seattle Sounders, a spokesperson of the club said to American news site Prost Amerika that the talks are ongoing: "We are in discussions with representatives of Barcelona. However, at this time we are not at the stage where we can make any announcement regarding the club coming to Seattle."
