Catalan sports weekly paper Gol claims that Barcelona is planning to offer Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola (38) a contract renewal to reward him for his work so far this season. The current contract of Guardiola, that was signed last June, expires in 2010. The Catalan coach earns a fixed one million euro, with a possible extra 3 million euro in incentives if the team would win all trophies.
Barcelona wants to offer Guardiola a pay rise and a contract that would be automatically renewed each year if none of the parties opposes this.
