German weekly sport paper Sport Bild has drawn up a list of the 50 best forwards in Europe at this moment.Barcelona player Lionel Messi (21) tops the list ahead of Samuel Eto'o (28), with Thierry Henry (31) being ranked at the 8th place.
The list was based on five criteria:
(1) the current market value of the player
(2) the average goals scored per game this season (club plus national team)
(3) ranking by ten Sport Bild journalists
(4) ranking by German record international Lothar Matthäus
(5) ranking by former German national team coach Berti Vogts
