British tabloid The Sun claims that English premier League clubs Portsmouth and Newcastle are interested to sign Barcelona attacker and Iceland international Eidur Gudjohnsen (29).Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has made Gudjohnsen, together with Liverpool striker Peter Crouch, his top transfer target for the coming transfer window, something that is also claimed by British tabloid The Daily Mirror. But Newcastle head coach Kevin Keegan has apparently done the same (read more here).
Barcelona is said to be willing to accept an offer of 6 million euro° for Gudjohnsen, who arrived in Barcelona from Chelsea in the summer of 2006 and whose contract expires in 2010.
