Catalan sports paper Sport claims that an agreement has been reached on the contract renewal of Barcelona polyvalent defender and midfielder Víctor Sánchez (21) (read more here).Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain would have closed a deal on a renewal with the player's agent and Víctor Sánchez will sign his new contract on Monday.
The new contract will be for four years, starting in the summer in 2008 and expiring in 2012. The Catalan player's buyout clause would be 30 million euro°. Víctor Sánchez, whose current contract expires in 2010 and who has this season been switching between the first and the second team, will from now on only play for the first team.
