25 minutes before the start of the Champions League final, while Manchester United was doing the warming-up, the players were called to the dressing-room where Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola let the players watch a seven-minute movie that included the most significant images of each player during the season: Valdés' saves of Valdes in the one-on-ones with Drogba, Puyol's goal in the Bernabéu, Pinto's penalty save against Mallorca in the cup, Iniesta's goal against Chelsea, Milito suffering during his recovery, etc.
The images of the players were mixed with images and quotes (including "What we do in life echoes in eternity", "There was a dream that was Rome" or "Whatever comes out of these gates, we've got a better chance of survival if we work together") from the oscar-winning movie Gladiator (2000), starring Russell Crowe as Maximus, a Roman general turned slave turned gladiator.
Catalan television station TV3 will broadcast the seven minute-movie on Monday.
