Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona won't sign a right back defender this summer.The club would prefer to spend on a central defender and Puyol will again act as back-up for Alves next season. This would be the reason why Barcelona pulled back from signing Almería right back defender Bruno Saltor (28).
Valencia regional newspaper Las Provincias claims that Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain met three times with Raúl Verdú, the agent of Bruno. The Catalan right back would next week travel to Valencia to sign his contract.

but i think barca should sign lahm, he can start at LB, cover for RB, and play wing back also (what more can we ask for really!!)

lahm will be too expensive m8,and bayern arent willing to sell their top players this years it seems. i would say to go for srna he can play rb and lb and he is a great player also chrychyskiy or sth for cb if we need any.they wont cost much and both are excellent players.

i agree m8 lahm for me is the best lb in the world right now ,but the thing is playing with him and alves together is suicidal.our system is that when a full back goes up the other 3 close down in defence,alves was the main guy going up most the times this year and so would lahm ,they are both known for their attacking plays than defending. lahm would be a great pair with puyol on the right though and we would have abidal to play with dani.but as i said before i dont think bayern will listen to offers for lahm

This sucks. We're playing in way too many competitions to not have RB cover. Especially since Puyol is one of our 3 main CBs. I hope this is why we're interested in another CB.
