Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain yesterday informed the board of the club about the transfer events.Regarding the left back position, CSKA Moscow left winger and Russian international Yuri Zhirkov (25) would be the first option, while Deportivo left back defender Filipe Luis (23) is the alternative.

@groga: mate, no need to sell Abidal, simply because Zhirkov fits for EVERY position on the left. BTW, his nickname is "Russian Ronaldinho".
There's no need to buy more players. Guys, Barca don't need Ribery or Ibra or Villa. Everything is still here. Just renew Eto'o and Toure and all the problems are gone. Eto'o deserves to be renewed.
