Catalan sports paper Sport and El Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona winger and Argentinian international Lionel Messi (22) has returned to Barcelona a week earlier than previously scheduled.Messi had been schedule to return to the club from holidays on July 27th after the completion of Barcelona's pre-season trip to England for the Wembley Cup. However, Messi would have taken a flight from Buenos Aires yesterday which would see him arrive in Barcelona today.
Messi would have taken the initiative to ask Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola permission to join the squad and take part in the pre-season trip to England this week.

Oh yeah! I love this guy. May God protect him from injuries also this season. Whether u put him on the wing, centre forward, or attacking playmaker position, he gives a positive drive to the team.

i think many of you will agree with me ,messi is the best player in the world ,but in my opinion he is the best player ever,he has surpassed ronaldinho(yeah r10 was more flashy at his prime,but messi does what is needed and he does it always).he is awesome to watch on the field.
i cant wait for the games to begin to watch this team again.those lads write history....

...You sure? As far as i know doing nothing in the Champions League for the 4th/5th season in a row doesn't qualify people for that.
LAst year not even Messi [UCL semifinalist] couldn't come close to Ronaldo [guy that lead team to victory]. I know World Player isn't Balon d'Or, but i don't feel Inter have been in the "good" part of town. They've had it way too easy and sorta screwed it up anyway.
