Catalan sports papers Sport and El Mundo Deportivo claim that several Barcelona youth players could travel with the first team to the United States.

Eleven youth players already took part in the training camp in England. Both papers assure that Barcelona Atlètic wing attacker Jeffren Suárez (21) will be one of the players that will continue to work with the squad over the next week.

Barcelona's official website meanwhile announces that four Barcelona Atlètic players took part in this morning's training session with the first team: Marc Muniesa, Andreu Fontàs, Jonathan Dos Santos and Jeffren. This could mean that those players will travel with the first team to the United States tomorrow although the official list will be announced later today.

  1. Anonymous Said,

That means they are counting on him for the season to come : no more wingers as transfers..

On one side, it's barca-style to work with own youth, on the other hand with hleb & guddy both going, Henry a year older.. I think we need a quality-injection on those positions..

  2. ViTo Said,

Jeffren doesn't seem like a player that can break through to the 1st team .. he better goes to Racing or any other team .. I would like to see Pedro getting chances .. IMO he`s alot better

  3. fcbee Said,

Pedro IS already with the first team since last season, so he's gonna stay with them. Unless he'll go out on loan...

  7. Ekar Said,

Pedro is already in the first team. IMO the following will go:

    -Muniesa
    -Jeffren
    -Dos santos

Pep MAY take just Gai for the pleasure but he's not gonna make 1st team yet, the others have much more chance.

    @ViTo ,
Very good point . I agree . Pedro should be given more playing time . He is talented and could give Messi some much needed rest . Last year both Guardiola and Maradona worked Messi into the ground even when the games were already decided and out of reach for the opposition .He looked tired the last few games of the season . I hope Guardiola would correct the situation this season !!

  9. Søren Mortensen Said,

    How about Thiago and Oriol?
I think they where just knocked out of the EC U-19. Both CM, Thiago offencive, Oriol defencive.

From the little I saw, Oriol really impressed me. Big, tall and strong, like a pale Yaya.

  11. SJP Said,

i think jeffren needs to go out on loan, theres no doubt he is talented but at the mo he is too selfish, needs to work on his team game more. for me pedro is good enough for back up, although don't know if he can play LW as well?
dos santos and thiago can cover so i think we only need to sign one more player. agree with some that moutinho would be good option.

  12. Marws Said,

I don't see Jeffren in Barcas future. Dos santos on the other hand. He will be the new Xavi, no doubt.

  13. Iason Said,

I'm surprised they aren't taking at least one of our two very promosing RB's. We need extra cover there instead of playing Puyol out of position. Montoya, Dalmau or however you spell it, Dos Santos and Muniesa impressed me the most and with a little more fitness and strength training, they can be ready for promotion instead of us buying more players
