Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona was interested in Atlético Madrid midfielder José Manuel Jurado (23) earlier this summer (read more here).Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain would a few months ago have held a couple of meetings with the player's agent to discuss a possible transfer.
Atlético Madrid was reportedly willing to sell Jurado, who played last season on loan with Mallorca and whose contract expires next summer, for 6 million euro°. The deal in the end didn't go through.

i've seen jurado in the EURO- U21 and i was really really impressed i must say, u guys can watch the highlights of the SPAIN VS ENGLAND U21, he was awesome... plus he was a madrid youth product and that will piss him off :p
