Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona and Real Madrid are both interested in signing Lyon forward and French international Karim Benzema (20) .Real Madrid is wanting to transfer a top class striker for a while and would now have turned to Benzema.
Madrid representatives would have called twice with Lyon but Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain is already working longer on the case which gives Barcelona the advantage at this point.
