Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio claims that Barcelona wants to postpone the return of Barcelona forward and Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o (28).

The club would have plans to inform Eto'o in the coming days that he doesn't have to report back for training next Monday, but only on Monday 27 July, when several other players who took part in international games last month will start their pre-season. That way, Barcelona would have more time to find a new club for the striker. *Barcelona has meanwhile officially confirmed this news.*

  1. groga Said,

Adebayor has passed City medical test, so guess that's not an option anymore...

  2. Marc4barca Said,

it never was, adebayor don't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as barcelona unless it says "ade not good enough for barca" or something like that. if we sign forlan expect to win la liga and nothing else.

  3. groga Said,

I meant: City is not an option for Eto'o anymore.

And last season Adebayor was the number one target of Guardiola.

  5. R10FCB Said,

by the looks of it man u would be the only cub that would get eto'o at the moment, with them interested and eto'o still wanting to play european football.
but even than sir alex has also said he wasnt going to make anymore transfers after owen so it dosnt look good at the moment. he will probably play for us one more season with either villa or forlan and leave for free next season.

  7. mike Said,

do you have a story about barca selling the mini estadi?

  8. mariop Said,

Barcelona have reached an agreement with the Catalan government to sell their Mini Estadi in order to see the land converted into flats, a hotel, a school and open spaces.

The Catalan giants have moved all their teams to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on the outskirts of the city and no longer have any use for the 16,000-all seater arena.

President Joan Laporta struck a deal with the city mayor, Jordi Hereu, to use the site across the road from the Camp Nou complex to improve the local area around the ground.

While the Mini Estadi was the home of the Blaugrana's B side, Barca Atletic, they will now play at the training ground along with all the junior and youth teams.

Barca had had plans to sell off the land for many years, but agreeing a deal has always had hold-ups - and even now there could be objections to some of the plans.

Along with flats, there will be a hotel, a series of parks and gardens, a nursery school and secondary school as well as a health centre to lift the zone.
