Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Arsenal would only be willing to include Barcelona forward and Spanish youth international Bojan Krkic (18) in a possible deal on Arsenal midfielder and Spanish international Cesc Fàbregas (22).

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger would like to count on the Catalan striker, who is nevertheless untouchable for Barcelona manager Guardiola.

Barcelona would have offered Arsenal a transfer fee of 40 million euros°, which was rejected by the English Premier League club, as was the possible inclusion in the deal of Barcelona attacker and Iceland international Eidur Gudjohnsen (30) and Barcelona central defender Henrique Adriano Buss (22).

Although Cesc reportedly supports the efforts of Barcelona trying to sign him and his agent Darren Dein is acting as go-between between the two clubs, the player wouldn't be willing to force his exit. Cesc plans to talk with Wenger in the coming days to discuss the situation, but it is unlikely that Arsenal will change their position. A transfer this summer seems almost impossible.

40 million+bojan on loan and gudjohnsen permanently sounds good to me. but if arsene wants bojan permanently, he can...well, u got the point...

  4. huy Said,

Bojan (18) barely legal, just how Wenger likes them.

    Bojan + 40mil for Cesc?
Do it. We still got Keirrison in the pipeline. MF liks Cesc are harder to find nowadays and a near perfect replacement for Xavi in couple of years. Would like a buy back option though. Doubtful.

  5. fcbee Said,

Even Bojan on loan, come on. We're already short in players for the forward line and you can't see us finding some goldmine.

  6. Kxevin Said,

I'd do it. In two seconds. Fabregas has the potential to be the next Xavi. Krkic has the potential to be an excellent winger. I think that midfield control and creativity, particularly in the rising of Pedro! and Jeffren, make more wingers less of a need.

But mine is an unpopular view point, I'm sure.

  7. groga Said,

Pedro and Jeffren are no first team material. Maybe as back-ups but not as starters. Never, ever. I think we'll have to wait one more year for Cesc, next year he's ours.

  8. MiDO H. Said,

No Freakin Way would that ever happen
we are already short on forwards ...
so we can forget the "cesc" issue for this summer thats for sure.
and like i said before, its gonna one busy winter transfer window for us ;)
    hopefully :)

  9. Anonymous Said,

our winter windows are rarely busy.
Henry can play as a CF, we will be able to move Iniesta to the left when we have Cesc.
Cesc is a great sub for Xavi, and nearly the only sub for him. Bojan is not the only cover for the CF position.
I don't want to wait for next summer when every team's(Madrid) debt account is recharged again and they are ready to bid for Cesc.
I say get him as soon as possible.

  10. CosmicKite Said,

I don't understand why any Barca supporter would want Fabregas or why Barca keep giving money to Arsenal? Are they helping service their debt? He is not good enough to get near the first team consistently and he well known for being disrespectful and that is not good for the image of Barca.

  12. bosnian_likes_barca Said,

If we can't sign Fabregas, there is another option, buying a Hulk from Porto, fantastic 23 years old player who can play as a left and right midlefielder and central striker. He's first price is 40 millions, but we can get him a cheaper, maybe the good think would be include Bojan for loan because he would have chance to completely improve himself in Porto.
Hulk is so imperesive, maybe he will become another Ronaldinho.

  14. mike in africa Said,

i don't think many clubs will pay 40+ mil for any player next year especially madrid. they will taste defeat this year, even after spending 200+ mil. they will go through heavy financial trouble, and the world of football will realize how overpaid some players are.

  15. Moltisanti Said,

If he's not willing to force his exit, than what is he expecting from us?

Once a rat, always a rat.

I hope he will never wear the Barca shirt again.

  16. Anonymous Said,

Hulk? You have to watch him more then on youtube, one of the most selfish players on the world. With this attitude he isnt going to be a good player.

And people, why to give Bojan which wanted always to stay at Barca to Arsenal for gettting someone who left and now wants to come back just for trophies? Think a bit, thats not fair against Bojan who is going to be a Barca legend.

MALTISANTI: I hope too but I think it will sadly happen next year because of the president elections at Barca. I can see Rosell promising Agüero and Fabregas.

  17. Brimwa Said,

Ok this is getting too far... 40+ mill plus Bojan is just pushing it. i understand they dont want to sell but im very sure if Cesc hands in a transfer request, he will be allowed to go...

He (Cesc) needs to make up his mind whether he's staying or wants to leave...

i wanna see Bojan stay...he's only 18 and he's a regular (kinda). he will be a very dangerous striker in his early 20s...

  18. L Said,

Well, noway. Bojan is a big big talent and his love for Barca is really big and i wouldnt let him go no matter what.

Eidur, Henrique + some cash is the best deal if it would work for Arsenal

  19. georgiou_nicolas Said,

Just want to add something... If bojan goes who in the world will cover Zlatan in case he is absent... Oh i get it, Henry will play up front, Iniest in the wing etc etc etc... I personally do not agree with players swaping positions all the time, to rotate is fine with but in my opinion players should hold on to a specific position in the pitch and only in the case of an emergency ie Yaya in champions league final, should they play elsewere

  20. barca4life Said,

If Arsene wants Bojan he must see talent. Arsene is no fool and he knows how to spot other people's talent like a hawk.

  21. E6 Said,

If Bojan goes, we have to promote Rochina. Too bad that Keirrison went on loan.

  22. SJP Said,

jesus, how can people endorse letting bojan go? he is the most talented forward (except maybe aguero and at a push pato)for the next decade. the guy will be great and has already proven his worth to the first team plus he has barca close to his heart. not saying cesc doesn't, not sure about that if i looked at my future and saw that i had to compete with xavi i'd give up and go somewhere else! this wont happen, he wont force it as he respects wenger too much and we (hopefully) wont pay over 40mil for a BACK UP. as has been said we should look at moutinho.

  23. Anonymous Said,

Hulk is a great player. Just ask any person who follows Portuguese football. Hulk was voted as the best player of the team last season by Porto fans. Porto has had alot of great stars, and the Porto fans mostly agree that Hulk is the greatest player in Porto since Deco.

  24. Tolq Said,

Suggesting to include Bojan (permanently) in the deal is just an insult. Pay with one youth product to get back another? I don't think so. Nevermind Cesc for this season - as weakened as Arsenal are this season, they probably won't even make the top 4, and thus, Cesc will be a lot easier to get next year.

  27. Iason Said,

We don't need Cesc. We need older player makers so Dos Santos and Thiago at least get a chance at the first team. Pirlo for 15m would be great.
